About Me

Hello & welcome

Hello and welcome. My name is Mollie and I am a qualified Psychotherapist registered with the NCS.

I've been working as a therapist now for almost 5 years and I have been working with young people for almost 10!

I have always had a passion for working with young people and helping them process some of the struggles they may be facing. I've worked in many settings throughout my years including primary schools, secondary schools, alternative provisions and further education settings.

When I'm not working I love to spend time looking after myself and focusing on self-care. I love to paint and spend time in nature, but I equally love relaxing, watching films and playing games!

My Experiences:

  • Youth Intervention Centre - Co Founder and Psychotherapist

My passion for supporting young people led me to co-found the Youth Intervention Centre in Ivybridge where I offered therapy and support to young people in the local area. We also ran workshops and support groups as well as work for the local schools and the counsel.

  • Plymouth City College - Volunteer Counsellor

Part of my counselling placement was at City College Plymouth which allowed me to expand my experience on working with young people by seeing clients who were aged 16 and above. I organised my own sessions and brought a diverse range of skills to my older clients. I also worked collaboratively with the student support team to aid the overall wellbeing of the students attending.

  • South & West Devon Academy, Alternative Provision - Lead of Therapeutic Interventions

During my time with a local alternative provision school in Dartington I created and delivered specialist therapeutic interventions to students aged 5 – 16, allowing them to feel nurtured, listened to and understood. I also worked in outreach helping to bring pastoral and well-being support to those young people who weren't able to attend the school for numerous reasons. I also did part of my counselling placement here.

  • Newton Abbot College - Autism Specialist

While working at Newton Abbot College I learnt a great deal about SEND, additional needs and supportive interventions. I worked with young people, parents and teachers to help encourage inclusivity and allow young people to access their education equally. I ran and developed social skill lessons, communicated with professionals and developed accessible programmes and support strategies for students.
